Part of an Ebook on mobile phone recovery

Searching for a stolen mobile phone is not worth it if you are not willing to sacrifice. Be aware that it's not easy to catch a thief especially phone thieves. However, the ordeal can be salvaged with some common sense, patience and co-operation with security authorities. A stolen cell phone may be recovered if the below process is followed:
1. Pull out the receipt and paperwork for your phone. 2. Locate your phone's IMEI or serial number (Check your phone's manual for information on where to locate it).
3. Get your original SIM number back by informing your service provider.
4. dont forget to Inform the police that your phone has been stolen and keep a copy of any paperwork involved with the process (Only do this by visiting the local police station and reporting it there).
5. Contact your local phone service provider and give them a copy of your police report paperwork and request that they inform you when your phone is activated by someone else.
6. Don't get rid of your original number. It can be used for crime.
Finally, When some one inserts a SIM in your stolen phone, the mobile service provider will get the information and contact you. The police and your service provider should then be able to locate your phone.

Advice: it is better to keep your phone well secured than hoping to get it back when stolen.

Warning: never call the emergency services for any non-life threatening situation.
